Question by : Does the amount of money I spend on my credit card effect my score?
I have a credit card with a $ 2000 limit on it. If I put $ 20 on the card every month & pay it back in full, will my credit score get better?
Do I need to spend more than $ 20 a month on the card or is that fine?

Try never to use more than 30% of your limit on your card.
Ex: $ 2,000 limit, never use more than $ 600.
Credit cards usually report the balances on the closing date.
This is the date they send you out the statement.
This is the number used by the FICO to calculate your score.

One good way to develop great credit.
Use that card for something you need like food or gas.
Pay in full each month. This way you never pay interest and develop great credit.
Pay after you get the bill in the mail. Never before.
This also could let you see how much in gas you spend a year. It might shock you.
